Boldness for Christ

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” ( 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV).
Brothers and sisters in Christ, I have found myself praying almost daily about the human condition our world is struggling through. Even if you’re not a Christian, but you are a decent, honest, forthright person, you MUST be asking yourself just how much more humankind can stand this existence!
So King Solomon was pretty satisfied with his accomplishments as he ruled his kingdom. But, “The Lord appeared to him at night and said: ‘When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people…’”
(2 Chronicles 7:13 NIV). Solomon was presented with quite a dire potential Devine forecast for his people, wasn’t he? Imagine this coming across your TV on the evening news: no rain, swarms of locusts are devouring any and all vegetation across the US, and a devastating sickness (a plague) is filling our hospitals!
The US has experienced droughts in the west, tornados and flooding in the mid-west, volcano eruptions, the lantern fly devastation, and Covid-19. Do you sit in your living room and think about whether or not God might be trying to get our attention?
God didn’t just leave Solomon with the scary prediction, did He? No! God said, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” ( 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV). If God-fearing Christians will get serious about their faith-walks, begin coming out of their faith-closets and share the Good News of Jesus Christ, humble themselves and pray… and turn from their wicked ways… [God will] heal their land.”
Christian friends, let’s DO IT! Let us be bold for Jesus Christ; let’s take our Christianity seriously! Pray for America…look for guidance and Devine instruction and let God heal our land, because our country needs a healing!
